Our secluded walled garden is a private haven, created with care and planted with winding paths, hidden nooks, and seasonal colour. Just a minute’s walk from the car park, it offers both seclusion and comfort, whether booked on its own or as part of the whole site.
At its heart is a spacious 21-foot yurt with a king-size bed, dining area, comfortable seating, and a wood-burning stove for warmth and atmosphere. A separate summerhouse provides an additional quiet space for reading, yoga, or rest.
The terrace invites evenings under the stars with a wood-fired hot tub and fire pit, while the hand-crafted outdoor kitchen, monsoon shower, and two flushing loos make longer stays effortless.
Guests booking independently enjoy exclusive use of the garden, with space for up to two adults , while group bookings can use it as an atmospheric hub — a dining terrace for up to 16 people and a beautiful backdrop for gathering together.
Beyond the garden gate, Oakhill Ponds opens into 25 acres of spring-fed waters and woodland, with swimming, woodland walks and wildlife to enjoy. For deeper rest, our wood-fired sauna is available to book separately or is included when part of whole site group bookings.
The hand-built outdoor kitchen is well equipped. There are two planchas, a small gas oven with hob burners, an electric hob, an air fryer, pizza oven and barbecue—ideal for alfresco cooking. Further facilities include an indoor larder with a fridge-freezer, smeg coffee-maker, dishwasher, and microwave.
A local pub serving excellent food is just a short walk away and Oakhill Ponds is within easy reach of Somerset’s most iconic destinations.
