Upper Beeches is a light-filled three-bedroom hideaway in the village of Oakhill, a short stroll from the much-loved Oakhill Inn. Comfortable, well-equipped and ideal for families or friends — with a small sun-trap garden for slow breakfasts, BBQs and end-of-day unwinding.
And while you won’t see the ponds from the windows, we’re right next door to Oakhill Ponds — our retreat land with spring-fed swimming ponds and wood-fired sauna sessions you can book separately, when available.

Upper Beeches can be booked as a standalone stay or as an add-on to Oakhill Ponds — perfect for extending whole-site stays, offering a more traditional option alongside the huts and tents, or bridging early/late-season dates when some glamping units aren’t up.

Upper Beeches sleeps up to 6 across three bedrooms and two bathrooms, arranged over two floors (stairs required).
Please note the upstairs layout: the twin bedroom is accessed via the second king bedroom (a walk-through arrangement). It often works well for families (parents in the king, children in the twin), or close friends who don’t mind the walk-through.

Main floor (accessed by stairs): king bedroom with adjacent family bathroom, plus a fully equipped kitchen-diner and open-plan lounge (Smeg coffee machine, dining space, Smart TV / Netflix, hi-speed Wi-Fi).
Upper floor (via a narrower stairway from the lounge): second king bedroom, plus a twin bedroom reached through it, with an en-suite shower room.

Upper Beeches is well placed for Somerset favourites — Wells, Bath, Frome and Bruton — with Longleat and Cheddar within easy reach, and both Oakhill Ponds and the Oakhill Inn just a short stroll away.

Upper Beeches is in a quiet village setting, so we kindly ask guests to be mindful of neighbours, especially in the garden on summer evenings. If you’re in the mood for a livelier atmosphere, the Oakhill Inn is a short stroll away for excellent food and a bit of buzz.
We provide towels and organic toiletries, plus a simple welcome basket - fresh bread when available, milk, tea, coffee and biscuits. Local food deliveries are also possible.
